Navigation & Interactions¶
Touchscreen devices¶
To interact in Minsar Studio with Touchscreen devices, you can use one or several fingers gestures (see more details in "Touchscreen devices" in Selection section below).
Immersive headsets¶
Cursor¶
The cursor changes depending on what you can do or are doing:

→ You can tap on the element/button.

→ Taping on the element will add it to the multiselection.

→ Taping on the element will remove it from the multiselection.
See Multiselection section for more details.
The cursor also changes to move, scale and rotate an element.
Oculus Quest / Rift¶
To interact in Minsar Studio with the Oculus Quest of Rift, you can use:

the Laser to aim at targets.

the Trigger button to Tap, Long Tap, and Tap & Hold.

the System (with the Oculus logo) button to leave the app.

the right thumbstick when hovering an interface to scroll it.
If not hovering an interface and if an element is selected, the selected element will be adjusted, see Adjust section.

Teleport and move features¶
Teleport:
- Push the left thumbstick forward to enable the teleport and choose a spot.

You can change the teleport orientation by rotating the thumbstick.

Release to teleport to the selected spot.
Watch this tutorial video for more information about basic manipulations in Minsar Studio VR:
Turn 45°:
- Quickly push the left thumbstick to the left or right to turn 45°.
- You can hold the left thumbstick to the left or right to repeat the turn.
Note that you should not be in teleport mode to use this feature.
Take a step back:
- Quickly push the left thumbstick backward to take a step back (0.5 meter).
- You can hold the left thumbstick backward to repeat the step back.
Note that you should not be in teleport mode to use this feature.
Drag yourself:
- Hold and drag the grip button (left or right) to drag yourself around the scene.
Zoom in/out and rotate the scene¶
- Hold and drag both grips to zoom in or out and rotate the scene.
- If the scene zoom is different than x1, you can see a zoom scale next to your left controller.

To reset the zoom you can either:

Use the manual gesture with both grips.

Use the "Reset zoom" button below the zoom scale.

Microsoft HoloLens 2¶
To interact in Minsar Studio with the HoloLens 2, you can use:

The gaze cursor with the Air Tap, Long Tap, and Tap & Hold gestures.

Vocal commands: words you can say have apostrophes around them. For example: 'Delete'
Magic Leap One¶
To interact in Minsar Studio with the Magic Leap One, you can use:

the Magic Leap Control with:
- the Beam to aim at targets.
- the Trigger button to Tap, Long Tap, and Tap & Hold.
- the Home button: one tap on it to go Back in menu; Double tap on it to leave the app.
- the Bumper for special features.

The Gaze cursor mode with the Open Pinch, Closed Pinch gestures to make Tap, Long Tap, and Tap & Hold interactions.
To switch:

From Magic Leap Control mode to gaze cursor mode: Double tap on the Bumper button.

From Gaze cursor mode to Magic Leap Control mode: Tap on any Magic Leap Control button.
