Optimize your videos

Currently, Minsar only supports .mp4 videos, of maximum 250Mb. If you have a video in the wrong format but want to import it in Minsar, you will have to convert it first. We have developed a little tool to help you do that. In the same process, you can also compress your video to a smaller size. This tutorial will now explain you how.

Download and install the tool

1.1. Go and download the Video Conversion tool on GitHub. Click on "Clone or download", then "Download ZIP".

1.2. Unzip the tool somewhere on your computer. If you don't change anything, the name of the folder should be "Video_Conversion-master".

Process your video

2.1. Open the Video_Conversion-master folder. Inside, you have a subfolder called Input. You have to put your video in there.

If you just want to convert your video without necessarily compress it, then proceed to the "Simple conversion" section. If you also want to compress it, then go to the "Convert and compress" section.

Convert and compress

2.2. Inside the Input folder, simply drag and drop your video (in our case, gif) on the "video_compression_conversion.bat" script.

2.3. A console will open, just let it work until you can see a .mp4 version of your video appear.

Congratulations!

You can now import your video in Minsar!
