Readiness

Alpha 1 is the second version distributed to partners, the first being Alpha 0 (released late February). A lot has been done since then, but the app isn’t ready for prime time at all. You will encounter many issues, crashes, and inconsistency while using Minsar a1.

Limitations

Projects

In the Alpha 1 you only create one type of project, we call them "World Locked” projects. "World Locked” projects are tied to your environment, therefore you can only open them in the environment where you originally created the project. Please note this is still a work-in-progress in the Alpha 1 and you will encounter issues saving and restoring "World Locked" projects.

In the future

  • You will be able to open and edit "World Locked” projects on VR headsets as well; the environment mesh from the HoloLens will be displayed so that you can easily move inside the project.
  • We will add "World Free” projects, that can be created and opened on any type of devices whether they are VR or AR, and in any environment.

Warnings

Preview Mode, Edit Mode

Switching between the two modes mostly work although it hasn’t been tested thoroughly. You might encounter odd behaviour, incorrect UX, bugs and crashes.
